A wonderfully detailed little bee, made all the more beautiful by wings of luminous paua shell.
Set in sterling silver, the sculptural bee features an intricately patterned body and ornate detailing through the wings, framing pieces of natural paua shell alive with shifting greens, turquoise, blue and violet. As the pendant moves, the colour changes with the light — one of those lovely details that photographs can only partly capture.
There is something joyful about a bee motif too: a small piece drawn from the natural world, full of colour, texture and character.
